Perineal Massage: Avoid Episiotomy
Perineal massages are specific treatments that are held in the perineal zone. They are used as a preventive measure to prevent and prepare for the time of birth.
Its implementation increases elasticity and blood flow, improving muscle and tissue nutrition that are implicated in the dilatation and giving birth.

🔸 WHEN SHOULD I DO IT?
Perineal massages are recommended to start during the 30th-25th week of pregnancy. It must be applied with a frequency between 2 and 7 days a week, for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Self-application can be complicated, so we recommend you visit your physiotherapist specialized in the pelvic floor, we can also teach the technique to your partner so they are able to do it.
